Unknown. Belonged to John Rendall. He was married to Elizabeth Rendall (née Brown). The Brown family originally came from the Orkney Islands, off Scotland, and settled on a farm in the 1850s. It was located on Lot 27, Concession 7 in Collingwood Township, Grey County. According to the 1901 census of Collingwood Township, John Rendall was born on February 27, 1827, and was the head of the Rendall family. He was a Scottish immigrant, like his wife, Elizabeth Rendall. She was born on November 9, 1831, and emigrated in 1852. In the 1881 census, their eldest daughter was Isabella (born 1862, age 19). In the 1891 census, their children were listed as Dinah (age 27), James (age 18), Archibald (age 16) and Annie (14). In 1901, the list included Mary (born February 14, 1868, age 32). John Rendall died in 1912. Found on the family farm, in Annie Rendall's Estate. Last owned by Sandra Stevenson of Owen Sound, Grey County. |
