Unknown maker (sometimes items like this were made in Europe and exported to Canada). Belonged and worn by Katharine Crawford Frizzell, a schoolteacher from Bognor, Sydenham Township, Grey County on her wedding day when she married Reverend Stuart Henry Brownlee at St. George's Anglican Church, in Owen Sound, Grey County, on August 14, 1929, at twelve o'clock (noon). The Brownlees resided at Kerrwood, Ontario. Around 1963, Katharine Brownlee worked in Huron County. The item was passed on to her son, John S. Brownlee, QC., who kept it in Calgary, Alberta. It was sent back to Grey County in January, 2017. |
