Function |
A pair of factory-made dress shoes, specially ordered to be worn with a home-made wedding dress in 1929. The T. Eaton Co. Limited was a Canadian company that provided mail-order products. The shoes likely were purchased when the bride-elect went to Toronto to buy the fabrics for making her dress. T. Eaton Co. Ltd. items also could be shipped to Owen Sound or Bognor, Grey County via train and rural delivery. The wedding dress that was worn with these shoes had a hemline that allowed the shoes to be seen. |
