Description |
A clear, slightly aqua-tinged crown-cap lip bottle, with "TAYLOR & PRINGLE / CO. LIMITED / (entwined T&P logo) / TRADE MARK / REGISTERED / OWEN SOUND" moulded onto the front and "T&P" mould identification emboss-moulded on the underside. Bubble imperfections (one connects the top two lines of lettering) and chips and stains. |

Provenance |
Manufactured by a glass factory in Ontario, for the Taylor & Pringle Co. Ltd. bottling factory of Owen Sound, Grey County. It post-dates their incorporation in 1901, and likely was produced/used before John Corbet Pringle died in 1911. Unknown provenance after it left Taylor & Pringle's factory. Collected by Glen Stephens of Williamsford, Grey County, at an unknown date. His estate was auctioned in the fall of 2017. Grey Roots Museum purchased this piece from the first of his estate auctions on September 16, 2017. |
