Description |
Wooden-handled dinner knife. The wooden portions of the handle (front and back) sandwich a thin metal centre portion and are held in place by two small rivets. The blade is dull and has a rounded tip. The knife was made at Sheffield, England by the Crown Cutlery Co. |

One of a group of flatware items that were used aboard Matthew Kennedy's yacht, the VENETTA, which he used to dock at Owen Sound, Grey County. There was a Matthew Kennedy Sr., and a Jr. The VENETTA was being used in the early 20th-century time period. Mrs. Richter's parents were Mr. Ewen C. McMurtrie and his wife Marjorie, who was formerly Miss Marjorie Kennedy, a daughter of Matthew Kennedy Sr. of Owen Sound. Last owned by Adelaide Richter. |
