Description |
18-inch wooden ruler advertising the Owen Sound Sun-Times newspaper business. It is double-sided. One side has inches and centimetres. The other side has "Picas" and "Agate" calibrations (both used by printers). "ACME MADE IN CANADA" is printed in a corner. One long edge has a metal strip embedded in it, to make provide a straight edge for underlining work. There is a small, intentional hole in one end. The wood is black-printed with: "Phone / 376-2250" "The Owen Sound Sun-Times" "Want Ads / 376-4801" "The / Sun-Times" "Serving The Twin Counties of Grey and Bruce" "Owen Sound / Ontario" |

This item belonged to the family of Walter and Mary Winch, who moved from a farm in Holland Township, Grey County, to 734, 9th Street A. East, Owen Sound, Grey County. It was found among other items in their Estate. |
