Description |
Red-embroidered-on-white signature quilt top / name quilt top or comforter cover. In addition to the name blocks, the item has alternating, coloured embroidery farm motif blocks. It has a total of fifty-three embroidered blocks. Each name block has twelve names on it. The quilt top has some empty areas, and it was not quilted, but appears to have been finished as a light summer spread, with a plain white backing. It is open along the bottom edge, presumably in order to insert the batting. Block 2: Madge Lanktree, Margaret McAllister, Miss Eva Sproule, Mrs. Geo. Simpson, Mrs. L.
