Description |
Silver-plated metal and wood curling trophy. It has three handles and the engraving: "WINNERS R. G. McKay, J. E. Buzza, W. H. Smith, W. R. Chester (Skip), E. D. Bonnell, A. B. Rutherford, G. H. Holmes, M. D. Lemon" (=Morley Dalton Lemon, Skip)." The other side reads: "1916 ONTARIO CURLING CLUB ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY OWEN SOUND FEB. 23RD 1916". The wooden pedestal base has a worn black finish on it. |

Manufacturer unknown. Dates to 1916. Presented by the Ontario Curling Association to the Owen Sound Curling Club team. Last owned by the Grey Granite Club of Allenford, which was located at 727, 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound. Between 2013 and 2015, it was displayed at the business office of Ron Hopper. |
