Wooden food mallet. There is no maker's identification present. It can be hung up when not needed. The wood has a brown finish on it. |

Unknown. Likely 19th-century. Previously owned by Jean Reid (nee Jean Givens), b.1900-d.1965. Her husband was William G. Reid. Jean's parents were James and Mary Ann Givens, who farmed in the Massie district of Holland Township, Grey County. They were married in 1898. |
