Description |
This heavy-duty fire extinguisher is a Model 85 item manufactured by The General Detroit Corp. Canada Ltd. (Windsor, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg). Its lettering includes: "GENERAL QUICK AID FIRE GUARD". The extinguisher is (A), with its wall bracket (B). This extinguisher has a metal, cylindrical body turned red through oxidization. The main body of the extinguisher flattens out both at the top and bottom. On the front is a red and gold label containing the product name, ingredients, as well as some manufacturing information. The top handle of the pump is decorated with curved edges and patterns of parallel lines. Other than the handle, the flattened top has a small hole (for a hose), and the embossed words "SAFETY PHLARE PUMP." The base is decorated with a number of concentric circles, which may also serve to increase stability and allow the extinguisher to fit in the hook. (B) would be responsible for holding the extinguisher firmly while attached to a wall. This bracket holder has a flat, rectangular metal section ending in a spoon-like disk and a hook to grasp the top of the extinguisher. There are six small circular holes along the length of the rectangular section in order to screw the holder to a wall. (B) has a black finish on the metal. |
