Description |
Three-hole punch of a size suitable for sitting on a table or bench. Centrally there is a pivoting handle which, when lifted, pulls up the punches. When lowered, it moves the punches down. On the left side is a mounted metal item. The "bed" area of the punch is metal and its front has rounded corners. No lettering or logo observed on the top or underside of this device. The back side has three thumb wheels for tightening adjustment pieces (it appears that there were once four of these pieces). The bed area has a particle board piece with a slot mounted on it. The back side has 3 thumb wheels for tightenin/adjusting pieces (it appears that there were once four of these pieces). |

Manufacturer unknown. Dick Knight of Meaford, Grey County, told museum staff that it was obtained second-hand from the "Meaford Monitor" newspaper business, and was used by The Knight Press. This establishment was founded in Meaford, Grey County by Dick Knight's father in 1929. Dick Knight took over the establishment, which operated until 1990. Last owned by Dick Knight. |
