Description |
Blue-eyed, bisque-headed, brown-haired, open-mouthed doll wearing a pink dress, dark stockings and black paper shoes. Has bisque hands and arms (7.5 cm long). Sleeping eyes mechanism. Koppelsdorf mark visible on the nape, shoulder and head. Painted eyebrows and eyelashes. Three inset teeth in open mouth. There is an illegible stamp on her stomach. Brown mohair wig affixed. |

Manufactured by Heubach-Koppelsdorf, in Germany. Likely early 20th-century. Belonged to Dorothy Milligan (née Eberth, b. 1920) of Hanover, Grey County. She was a schoolgirl c. 1929 and attended Allan Park School in Bentinck Township, Grey County. Her parents were Roy and Ella Eberth, who farmed at Lot 33 NDR Bentinck, Grey County. Dorothy Milligan married Thomas Milligan and resided in the Allan Park area (east of Hanover), Grey County. |
