Hatpin with unusual droopy head. It is a brasstone item, with a pinkish or rust-coloured, faceted glass? piece set in the top. |

This item likely dates from the 1910s, but we do not know its manufacturing place of origin. Original provenance unknown. May have belonged to Martha Jane Rogers (neé Powell) of Woodford, Grey County. The last owner was Edna Spence (neé Woods). After her mother's death when she was young, the Rogers family fostered her for some time while she growing up in Woodford. She later inherited a number of their belongings. |
