Description |
Pressed glass, pint-sized milk bottle. "Owen Sound / Dairy Co. Ltd." is pressed into the front in script. "OSD" is pressed onto the bottom. The bottle is nearly uniform in diameter, with the neck tapering slightly before flaring out at the rim. |

Likely manufactured by the Dominion Glass Company. Dates to the 20th-century. Belonged to the Owen Sound Dairy Company Limited, which was established in May of 1911. It was located at 1125, 3rd Avenue West, Owen Sound, Grey County. A 1945 advertisement claimed that the Owen Sound Dairy Company had been "Established Over a Third of a Century" and that it "Delivered to Your Home Daily Before Breakfast". Their phone number was 285. Last owned by Dave and Liz Arnold of Huntsville, Ontario. |
