Description |
Black pen and watercolour painting of the Fraser Farm by Enid MacLachlan. The house is drawn from the front showing the front gardens and lawn. There are trees to right of the house and coming into the foreground of the painting. Ther is also a copse of trees in behind the house. In addition to the black in pen drawing the artist added texture, details and shading with a pale grayish teal watercolour. The painting is matted with a cool white matte board and framed under glass with a thin wood frame painted gold. The custom framing was done by Let's Frame It whose stamp can be found on the back, stamped center bottom on the craft paper backing. |

Painting done by Enid MacLachlan circa 1988 shortly after Katherine Lochnan and George Yost purchased the Fraser Farm (370474 Concession B, Balaclava) in 1987. The Fraser Farm was built in 1876. Enid MacLachlan was born in Englan and trained as an artist before coming to Canada shortly after WWII. Custom framing done by Let's Frame It, at 754 Mount pleasant Rd., Toronto, Ontario. Last owned by Katherine Lochnan. |
