This is a PEKIN ceramic tea cup and saucer. It has a registry mark of 36690. It is white with green twig, insect, and flower design, is gilt-edged and has green handles. |

Provenance |
Once part of a set that had belonged to Mrs. Joseph Inglis of Kemble, Grey County, who operated a store there (est. 1881). Their daughter married John Legate, who did teamster work for the store and was a farm implement agent. The Legates later moved to Owen Sound. The item was last owned by Mary Legate of Owen Sound. The use of a British registry number suggests that it is 1890s or younger. |
