A silverplated, low round tea pot, with hinged lid and button pull on top. Engraved on the bottom with "To Miss L. A. McCullough / by / Dufferin Teachers / Owen Sound June 1931". It is an electroplated piece by the "Standard Silver Co. / International Silver Co. "8/85". |

Provenance |
Presented to Lily Ann McCullough on June, 1931 by her fellow teachers. She had taught at Dufferin School from 1902-1930. She died on October 28, 1934. McCullough had been born north of Georgetown, in Halton County. She had two brothers, Doctors Tom and James McCullough, who had practices in Chatsworth and Owen Sound, Grey County. The 1932 Vernon's Directory of Owen Sound listed her as boarding at 980 4th Ave. East (Emma Bearman's rooming house). |
