Function |
The tentpole hanger was an item that could be used to hang clothes, bags, etc. on inside a tent. They were often used by the militia / military when the soldiers were in camp. The hanger would be fastened around a wooden tentpole. This hanger belonged to a family that had a lot of involvement in the 31st Grey Battalion (later the 31st Grey Regiment). Annually, the 31st Grey Battalion travelled to Camp Niagara for summer training. |
