Likely belonged to/issued to John Wesley Ritchie of Berkeley, Grey County, who served overseas during the First World War, originally with the 147th Grey (Overseas) Battalion (created in 1915), which was disbanded and drafted into other units that needed reinforcements after they reached England. Subsequently owned by his wife, May Ritchie. |
