Hand stamp for "ROBINDALE FARM --R.R.1, DURHAM" (used in Glenelg Township). It has a glossy red-finished wooden grip and a single line rubber stamp. A printed paper insert shows the appearance of the impressions it made. No maker's mark. |

Unknown maker. Custom-made for the Robindale Farm at RR#1, Durham (in the former Glenelg Township). R. C. (Clarence) Robinson and Marjorie Robinson and W. J. Ritchie farmed at RR#1 Durham in the 1940s. Marjorie's maiden name was Marjorie C. Ritchie. The plastic used suggests the item is 1950s-1960s? Clarence and Marjorie retired from the farm in 1964, and their son Norman Robinson and his wife Ruth Anne operated it next. The farm was in the Robinsons ownership until ____. The item was last owned by Ruth Anne Robinson (nee Hollands) of Kincardine, Ont. |
