Brass steam whistle and its control handle mounted on a black painted metal support. |
Provenance |
Salvaged from the tug HARRISON in 1944 when it was scuttled. The Harrison was built in 1909 at the Abbey boatworks in Owen Sound, Grey County, by the Harrison Lumber Co. (John Harrison & Sons Ltd.) which needed tugs to bring in large "rafts" of logs for the mill. Belonged to James E. Harrison. Last owned by Rick Harrison and Don McKay of Owen Sound. |
