Description |
Late Victorian wooden extension table, with four leaves (a - top, b - base). The wood used is probably elm. There is a pressed design on the stretchers. The legs are supported on metal castors with ceramic wheels. The top boards have bevelled edges. |
Provenance |
The previous owner, Melba Croft (neé Morris), obtained this table at a rummage sale at Owen Sound's Central United Church, so she did not have any information about its age and original ownership. It appears to be a Late Victorian piece, but it is not known who made it. Her father (Rev. Morris) formerly was a minister at the church when she was a girl. |
