Transparent glass bottle with "Contents 7oz. WM. TAYLOR & SON Limited, Owen Sound, Ont." molded on one side of bottle. Crown-cap style bottle. |
Provenance |
Unknown. Likely found at a Grey County dump site by William Galbraith of Owen Sound, Grey County. He told museum staff that this style of bottle was used c. 1920 up until the 1940s. Wm. Taylor & Son was a bottling company located in Owen Sound, Ontario. In the 1922 Vernon's Directory of Owen Sound, the Wm. Taylor & Son bottling company was located at 957 4th Ave. East, and was then making carbonated beverages. |
