Provenance |
In December, 1921, William J. Miller of Sydenham Township (near Bognor) was elected a school trustee for U.S.S. No. 10 Sydenham & St. Vincent School (also called The Blind Line School). His children attended the school. The box that held this stamp was addressed to George G. Waddell for U.S.S. No. 10 (Mr. Miller's predecessor?). The item was last kept by William J. Miller's son, John Vincent Miller (usually known as Vincent). The school closed on June 4, 1942 due to low enrollment. It re-opened for September, 1949 (twelve pupils). It closed permanently in June, 1965. |
