This is an ORANGE QUENCH soda pop bottle, that was bottled for William Taylor & Son Limited of Owen Sound. It is made of pressed colourless glass. It has a stippled pattern in the round, orange-like middle area. |

This soda pop product was bottled by Dominion Glass for Wm. Taylor & Son Limited company of Owen Sound, Grey County. ORANGE QUENCH bottles of the shape depicted were a registered design glass pattern produced by the Dominion Glass Company. The design was registered in 1937? (there also was a version of this glass pattern registered in May, 1931). There are other examples of ORANGE QUENCH bottles in the museum collection. A newspaper advertisement from 1944 or 1945 shows that this bottle shape was in use at that time. |
