Function |
It would be hung, and then a bag or sling or pan would be suspended from the bottom hook. It is designed for use by someone who needed to weigh quantities in 1/2 ounces. Light, portable scales which balance weight against the contraction of a steel coil spring. Used where accuracy was less important than simplicity of use. |
