Ordered by / sold by by W.B. Philips, R.O. (registered optician) of Owen Sound, likely sometime in the 1940s or 1950s. Owned by watchmaker, Walter Mackowski of Owen Sound, Grey County. His father worked as a watchmaker for DC Taylors sometime between 1957 and 1962 and Walter, after training as a watchmaker in Toronto and Switzerland, lived again in Owen Sound in 1966 and 1968 doing his apprenticeship with DC Taylors, so he may have obtained these through these channels or someone may have given them to him. Last owned by his wife, Carol Mackowski of Owen Sound. |
