Description |
Gothic-arch shaped wooden tabletop game board. The board's sides are walled/lipped to keep balls from rolling off the table. It has painted red, green and black designs on it. One end is arched, the other is squared off, with two red-painted side troughs. Red and dark green and blackish stain or paint has been used to make different areas/designs. Tiny nails protrude upward through which the balls have to travel. Factory-printed numerals are present for points. No manufacturer's name present. |

Unknown factory of origin. Used by the Robinson or Ritchie family of Glenelg Township, Grey County. R. C. Robinson (Clarence Robinson) and Marjorie Robinson and W. J. Ritchie farmed at RR#1 Durham (Robindale Farm, Glenelg Township) in the 1940s (the farm was acquired in 1923 by Clarence's parents, David & Bessie Robinson). Marjorie's maiden name was Marjorie C. Ritchie. Their sons were Alex, David and Norman. In 1964, Norman Robinson and his wife Ruth Anne took over the farm and operated it until ___. The Item was last owned by Ruth Anne Robinson (née Hollands) at Kincardine, Ontario. |
