Description |
A circular silvertone Masonic Lodge Jewel token or medallion that has been punctured so that it can be a pendant. GRAND LODGE / 125TH / ANNIVERSARY /1855-1980 is in raised lettering on one side. The other side has an ornate Coat of Arms and the legend GRAND LODGE OF ANCIENT FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS OF CANADA. The edge is knurled, so that it is coin-like. |

Made in 1980 to commemorate the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Canada group's 125th anniversary. Belonged to Archie N. MacCuaig (one of his Lodge Jewels). The MacCuaig farm was in Glenelg Township, Grey County. He was a member of the Durham Masonic Lodge #306 and Chapter #221 for 50 years. He was a Worshipful Master and Life Member. It, and the others in this accession, were passed down to Norman Robinsonof the Edge Hill area of Glenelg Township. Last belonged to Norman's wife, Ruth Anne Robinson (née Hollands) of Kincardine. |
