Description |
A pair of driving gauntlets made of muskrat fur. The palm of the item is made of brown leather as is the inside of the thumb. The gauntlet surrounds the entire hand leaving only the thumb to be covered separately. The cuff flares out to the outside of the gauntlet. This flare is to allow the gauntlet to go over the arm of the coat. The inside of the cuff is lined with fabric. The inside of the gauntlet that surrounds the hand is fur lined. |

Unknown. Last owned by sisters, Doris and Marjorie Spragge. Found amongst their estate items by Eleanor Rivers. The Spragge family lived along 3rd Ave. East, Owen Sound, Grey County. Their father, John George Spragge (usually known as George Spragge), was an Owen Sound grocer. |
