Description |
Hoop-backed wooden Windsor side chair. The hoop back has six plain spindles inside it. The seat is shaped. The four legs have stretchers. No maker's identification on it. The brownish finish is now very worn. |

Maker and origin is unknown. Belonged to Bertha and Allan S. McPhatter, who lived in the Kemble area of Keppel Township and Sydenham Township, Grey County. They reported that it was hand-made. Mrs. McPhatter's family, the Shier family, lived in the Big Bay area of North Keppel. |
