Provenance |
Belonged to either the Adam Ainslie family, or the Henry Rixon family. In 1860, English-born Henry Rixon emigrated to Canada, and after a time in Galt, moved to the Leith area of Sydenham Township, where he worked at the distillery and married Helen Ainslie. In the 1880s, the Rixons and Ainslies moved into Owen Sound, although the family often visited Leith. Last owned by Eleanor W. Rixon, and her sister, Laura Rixon, who continued to reside in their family home in Owen Sound, Grey County. |
