Description |
Silver plated napkin ring with an embossed bird design in two places and plain ends. The initials "L. Mc" are engraved with little arrowhead-like marks around them. |
Provenance |
This napkin ring was used by one of John and Elizabeth McLean's children (they had seven). Last owned by Mary McLean of Owen Sound, Grey County who was born in Owen Sound in 1878, and died in 1967. She was one of the daughters of John McLean and Elizabeth McLean (neé Blythe) of 37 High St. (a house that was built in the early 1860s on the east hill area of Owen Sound-- later called 1663 5th Ave. East, Owen Sound). |
