Description |
Clear glass sealing jar with square base, straight sides and a neck that dips slightly. Flanged nexk and smoothed lip. Jar fitted with a lightning closure and outer seal lid. Embossed on jar front is a vine pattern which encircles the name "Perfect Seal". |

Used in Owen Sound, Grey County by the Vick family. Dorothy Vick used it last. Dominion Glass was created in 1913, when the Diamond Flint Glass Co. (Limited) and other companies merged. The Dominion Glass Company Limited was known as such until 1976. In 1987, it was known as Domglas Inc. The book A CENTURY OF CANADIAN GLASS FRUIT JARS, by Douglas and Marion Bird and Charles Corke, 1971, mentions that Perfect Seal jars were made in large quantities in the 1910s and 1920s. |
