Description |
Velvet puzzle ball (multi-coloured). Consisted of "pin cushion velvet pieces" in 1967 (someone - a museum staff member or volunteer?) assembled them into the puzzle ball. It has a textile loop that is handy for hanging it on finials of a cradle, etc. |
Provenance |
This item likely dates from the 19th-century. It belonged to Millie and Mabel McClure. When it was acquired by the museum in 1964, they were detached pieces. Since then, someone sewed them up into the puzzle ball form. |
