Description |
Woman's long netted scarf with two rows of floral motifs. The ends are pointed and have a circular patterns of lace and fillings in them. The edges also have a delicate lace motifs. |
Provenance |
Maker unknown. The last owner, Bessie Newman, told museum staff that it had belonged to someone in the Witherspoon family (her husband's maternal relations). The Witherspoons had a farm at Jackson, Grey County (west of Owen Sound). Jessie, Anne, Lillian, Maud, Walter, Dave, Jim and Peter were members of the family. |
