Printed in Owen Sound, Grey County in 1900. Last belonged to Lt.-Colonel George D. McLauchlan (b. 1874-d. 1967). One of his brothers, J. K. McLauchlan, established "McLauchlan Park" at Balmy Beach, (near Owen Sound) and this park became an excursion and resort locale for a time. A ferry brought people to it from Owen Sound. The book, THE McLAUCHLANS OF OWEN SOUND, by Gayle McLauchlan, provides more information about each member of the family, and their enterprises. |
