Description |
This is a carved wooden water pump figure that is part of a carved set that were hand-made by Mr. Earl Cole (b. 1899-d. 1974). The pump handle is moveable and is attached to the pump body with copper wire. It is carved from basswood but is unstained. The barnyard animals and farm pump models were originally glued to the green-painted cloth area of the barnyard (1971.019.001), but are now loose. The eighteen carved animals are made out of basswood, and most of them are stained. |
