Description |
Hotel key tag, #11. It is a diamond-shaped piece of flat brass with rounded corners and a hole in the top where it can be attached to a key. The number eleven is impressed deeply in the centre and is slightly difficult to make out. The whole tag is bumpy and uneven, and quite tarnished. |
Provenance |
Rick Harrison of Owen Sound, Grey County found this on the "Dr. Knox Farm" situated at the top of the Creamery Hill at Owen Sound, Grey County, in May / June, 1973. It was his opinion that this dump is from the Paterson House Hotel (later called the Downtowner Hotel). It is believed to have been formerly used at the Paterson House Hotel building in Owen Sound, Grey County. This hotel had been located along main street in Owen Sound. |
