Dennis Hatton was one of the children of Robert and Elizabeth (Betty) Hatton, who had "Hatton's Hall" along the Gravel Road (now Highway #26) in the 19th-century, in Sydenham Township, Grey County. Hatton's Hall was near the eastern outskirts of Owen Sound. It was a red brick hotel building, built in the 1860s. Dennis was born in _________. In 1___, he purchased the nearby property in Sydenham Township known as "Branningham Grove", from Agnes Palmour. In 1940, the Cecil G. Toms family purchased the Branningham Grove property from the Estate of Dennis Hatton. |
