Minnie Thomson was born at __________, on ___________. Her family had moved from Claremont to Leith, Sydenham Township, in 1877, settling at "Rose Hill Farm" (Lot 36, Concession A). The family attended the Auld Kirk Presbyterian church at Leith. Her parents moved away from Rose Hill Farm in 1905 to a brick house on the eastern outskirts of Owen Sound. Minnie married William Henry in 1907. Her brother, Tom Thomson, who later became famous as a Canadian landscape painter, purchased a set of dishes from the Cameron store at Leith and gave them to her as a wedding gift. A couple of the pieces from this set are now at Grey Roots Museum & Archives. Also at the Grey Roots site is the Thomson family cradle and Christening gown.
