Jacqueline Beaty was born on January 19, 1906, in Artemesia Township, Grey County. Her parents were farmers at Lot 121, Concession 1. When she was born, Dr. Thomas Sproule of Markdale delivered her. Her mother, Millie Beattie was the informant of Jacqueline's birth for the registrar. Her name was first entered as "Beatty", but was changed at some point to "Beaty". In the 1911 census, she was five years old, and her parents, James Beaty (b. 1871) and Melinda farmed. Jacqueline worked at Toronto in 1926-1927, at the T. Eaton & Co. store. |
