In 1914, Miss Darcy Newburn paid ten cents to have her name embroidered on a fund-raising Red Cross quilt that was made in St. Vincent Township. The quilt is 1977.023.001 at Grey Roots Museum. The names of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. (William) Newburn are also recorded on it. Her name is not recorded in the 1901 census of St. Vincent. |
