J. C. Telford enjoyed curling and was a member of the Owen Sound Greys curling team when it won the Duke of Devonshire's curling trophy in 1921. His name is engraved on the trophy. His family background was very Scottish. His Telford ancestors had originated from Roxburghshire, Scotland, and had lived at Galt and Annan. Some of the Telfords later moved to Owen Sound, Grey County. In the 1921 census, he was at __________________. There also was a J. C. Telford (d. 1931 suddenly) who was an O.S.C.V.I. student. |
