Julia A. Wyvill (b. 1898-d. 1964) was a farmer's wife in the Goring district of Euphrasia Twp., Grey County (RR#3 Markdale), now part of the municipality of Grey Highlands. Julia's parents were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and Mary Alice Wright. In the 1901 census, when she was recorded as two years of age, Julia's family resided in Keppel Township. Her father Dennis was then 35 years old, and worked as a Labourer. Julia had an older sister, Mabel Wright, and a younger sister, Laura Wright. Julia's birthdate was recorded in the 1901 census as April 19, 1898. Her family were Church of England. Her father had emigrated from England in 1875. Her mother was born in Ontario. The Wright family also were at Gore Bay and Dundas for a while. In 1928, Julia's mother passed away. In the 1940s, Julia belonged to the Lady Derry Lodge No. 1109 of the L.O.B.A. The No. 1109 Lodge members met at the Goring Orange Hall on the 1st Tuesday of each month in the 1946-1955 time period. Julia also had owned a Constitution and By-Laws booklet from 1943 for this lodge. In 1949, she was on the North Grey Voter's List. She is buried at Markdale Cemetery, as is Albert E. Wyvill (b. 1896-d. 1979). Lady Derry Lodge organized on Sept. 25, 19__ (at Goring, Grey County, Ontario). Sister Ruby Rennie was elected as its Worthy Mistress. The Deputy Mistress was Elsie Woods, the Junior Deputy Mistress was Sister Eliza Parker. The Chaplain was Sister Muriel Woods. The Recording Secretary was Sister Elsie Phillips. The Financial Secretary was Sister Shirley Murray. The Treasurer was Sister Mary Thompson. The Guardian was Sister Leula Murray. The Director of Ceremonies was Sister Gladys Madil. The 1st Lecturer was Sister Mary Caswell. The Deputy Lecturer was Sister Irene Clarke. The Pianist was Sister Helena Wyvill. The Inner Guard was Sister Julia Wyvill. The 2nd Committee was Sister Harriet Breadner.
