In 1916, E. D. Bonnell was a member of the Owen Sound curling team that won the District Cup. HIs name was engraved on the trophy, and it is now in the collection at Grey Roots. He is also pictured as a member of the Owen Sound City Council in 1920. That was the year that Owen Sound received its city status. See photograph 1960.057.001. He also was on council in 1922. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. His wife Estelle passed away in 1986. |
