The Grey Roots archives has a family group photograph that shows the Joseph Moore Rogers family, who lived at Woodford. See 1970.081.001. There is also a photograph of the family's farmhouse (see 1970.081.046). The Rogers family were Quakers and Liberals. The Joseph Moore Rogers residence was 1/2 mile east of the Quaker meeting house (which no longer exists, but the cemetery does). It was situated at Lot 16, Concession 1, S.C.R., Sydenham Twp. Joseph Moore Rogers ( 1842-1911) and his wife Martha Jane Powell Rogers (1842-1938) formerly lived in West Gwillimbury, York County, and that is where their daughters were born. Their daughters were Annie & Minnie Rogers [Annie Alberta Rogers (1867-1918) and Amelia Lillian (Minnie) Rogers 1870-1946]. |
