George Stephens of Desboro, Grey County, made a lovely set of hand-turned egg cups and a pedestal stand for them, circa 1900. He gave them as a gift to Thomas and Sara (Nester) Penner in 1907. Thomas and Sara Penner farmed north of Desboro, in Grey County. He also made a pair of long-handled wooden collection boxes for the Desboro Presbyterian Church. |
