There is an image in the archives of Wilson Johnson and his horse team "Charlie & Stella", drawing cream and eggs on a bobsleigh in 1946. (see 1980.364.001) See typescript page and 2 photos in the Bothwell's Corners W.I. Tweedsmuir book, p. 25. Following their honeymoon, Muriel and Wilson Johnson resided at the groom's farm at Balaclava and on April 1, 1946 they moved to the Norman McKee farm near Bothwell's Corner, which they had purchased in 1945 and where they spent many years. They later retired to Owen Sound, Ontario. Muriel worked for the County of Grey-Owen Sound Museum as a receptionist. She was also keen on geneaology and local history, and assisted with the HISTORY OF SYDENHAM TOWNSHIP book in 1967. |
