In 1917, "Rhoda J. Ross" subscribed to a fund-raising quilt that was made by the Springmount Red Cross helpers. She likely paid ten cents. Projects like this helped the war effort. The name quilt is in the Grey Roots Collection.

Rhoda married Robert Pollock Kennedy Jr. in February, 1928. The couple later resided in Guelph, Ontario for a long time. Their daughter Rosemary Kennedy became a teacher. Their son, Ross Kennedy (=Robert Ross Kennedy), had died at the age of eight in 1939.
